GUWAHATI: Chess player from Assam Susmita Bhowmick is selected to represent India in the FIDE World Youth Chess Championship scheduled to be held in Mamaia, Romania from tomorrow. Susmita was selected in the Indian team on the basis of her performances in Asian Youth U-18 Girl Championship- 2021 where she secured gold medal. She is the first girl from the North East to be selected for the FIDE World Youth Chess Championship.
