GUWAHATI: Chandogya Tridive Pathak bagged double crown by winning the Boy's Singles (under 12 years) and Boy's Singles (under 14 years) titles in 5th Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship – 2022 which concluded at the RG Baruah Sports Complex here today. Chandogya clinched the Boy's Singles (under 12 years) defeating Naman Bora 6-1, 6-1 in the final while in the Boy's Singles (under 14 years) final Chandogya Borneel Bora 6-0, 6-1 in the final. In the Boy's Singles (under 18 years) Parthiv Kalita won the title defeating Ved Aditya Kalita 7-5, 7-5 in the final. In the Girl's Singles (under 12 years) Arnavi Debnath bagged the title beating Nayeem Hussain in the final by 4-1, 4-1. In the Girl's Singles (under 14 years) Bishnupriya Borgohain emerged champion beating Nishtha Priya Bezbarua 6-1, 6-1 in the final. In the Girl's Singles (under 18 years) Tania Kumari annexed the title beating Bishnupriya Borgohain 6-3, 6-2. The closing function was attended by Justice (Retd.) Prahladrai Gulab Chand Agarwal, Bimal Bharali, Anju Mahanta and Shankar Dutta Lahkar. Later they also distributed the prizes and scholarship to the players.
