Las Vegas: Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder to retain the WBC title in a nail biting match on Saturday.

During the match in the fourth round, Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) somehow managed to jump back from falling to the canvas twice.

He defeated Wilder for the second consecutive time in the trilogy.

In the third round, Wilder was on the brink of defeat, but he managed to jump back and he dropped fury twice in the closing minutes of fourth round.

Wilder (42-2-1) worked hard and looked physically exhausted for most of the match, although the veteran champion showed his strength and continued to explode powerfully.

Fury knocked Wilder down again with his right hand in the middle of the 10th, but Wilder surprised Fury in the final second.

Fury ended the war in the 11th round, when he sent Wilder to the canvas first with his right hand from above. In front of 15,820 crowds at T-Mobile Arena, Fury climbed the ropes in a full-blown celebration.

This fight has probably become one of the most memorable fights in recent heavyweight boxing history. The three-fight series is unusual in today's fragmented boxing, however, both Fury and Wilder excelled in their-own three-fold span over three calendar years.

In 2018, Deontay Wilder retained the WBC boxing heavyweight title after a tied 12-round match against Britain's Tyson Fury.

Wilder had knocked Fury in the ring twice, but failed to register a knockout victory. The three judges gave different decisions during this period. One judge ruled in favor of Wilder by 115-111 while the other ruled in favor of Fury by 114-112. The third judge gave the same 113-113 marks to both.
