UEFA Champions League 2021-22: Manchester City Thrashes Club Brugge by 5-1

Belgium: In a head-to-head match, Manchester City showed a dominant display throughout the match as they thrashed Club Brugge 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League 2021-22 on Tuesday.

The match which was played at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Belgium, fans present there saw Manchester City getting the first lead with the help of Joao Cancelo on the half-hour. The City got another goal as the Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty just before the break.

As the Manchester City was dominating, the team celebrated the third goal in the second-half with the help of Kyle Walker while on the other hand -- Cole Palmer -- who just came as a substitute scored fourth goal for his team.

The Club Brugge also got a chance to celebrate when Hans Vanaken grabbed a late consolation; however, till then it was already late. The Manchester City grabbed their fifth goal in the 84 minutes with the help of Mahrez which also proved to be a deciding goal.

Manchester City has six points from three games, two more than Brugge, which slumped to its first Group A defeat.

As per the Dream 11 prediction before the match, Club Brugge could have consolidate their spot in the top and with this, their chances to qualify for the next round of UCL, if they had  withstand Pep Guardiola's unit.
