GUWAHATI: As many as 1,547 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Wednesday when 25 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 2.09 percent, the recovery rate was 96.06 percent. The highest number of positive cases was 193 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Golaghat with 147 cases, Jorhat with 115 and Dibrugarh with 139 cases.
