GUWAHATI: The bodies of two youths were recovered from an abandoned room of the PHE office complex at Hengrabari in the city today.
According to police sources, the local people informed the police of the two bodies. The police rushed to the spot and identified the bodies as those of Surajit Sinha (34) of Naba Nagar in Hengrabari and Mustafijur Rahman (22) of Railway Colony, Bamunimaidam. Surajit Sinha used to work in a gym, and Mustafijur was a student in his HS second year.
The police sent the bodies to the GMCH for post-mortem. Forensic experts also visited the spot.
According to the police, Surajit informed his family members that he would go home late.
The local people said that the abandoned room in the PHE office is used by the local youths for boozing.
