GUWAHATI: As many as 2,493 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the State on Friday when 24 people died of the disease. The positivity rate in the State during the day is 2.13 per cent. A total of 173 new cases were detected in the Lakhimpur district, 209 in Golaghat district, 176 in Jorhat and 247 in Kamrup (M).
