26 Myanmarese, including 10 girls, arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Paltan Bazar police arrested 26 Myanmarese youths from Kamrupa Lodge at Rehabari here on Sunday. All the 26 youths, including ten girls, entered India illegally.

The police arrested the Myanmarese youth close on the heels of the arrest of ten Rohingyas from the Guwahati Railway Station in the city. The police suspect the jihadi link of one of the ten Rohingyas. What is significant is that the arrested youths made their fake Indian identities – voter cards, Aadhaar cards and educational certificates – at Aizawl in Mizoram. The police said that the 26 youths were ready to leave for Delhi today purportedly to study theology (Bible).

The police registered a case (860/21) to this effect. They are now investigating the intent of the youths entering India and leaving for Delhi.

The names of the 26 youths hailing Chin state in Myanmar are – Biak Lion Ceu (28), Hrang Khen Cung (25), Henry Vanhubik (20), Van Ceu Lian (21), Than Fel (20), Denial Lalsual Hub (18), Lal Kim Lian (19), Sui Than Luai (26), Kei Than Hrang (23), Van Eng Lian (18), Van Uk Lian (21), Biak Nei Iang (19), Lal Cei Mawi (22), Miss Len Mawi (28), Biak Hnem Par (18), Lal Cer Par (18), Van Biak Cuai (24), Nuam Ngaih Kham (25), Kam Sian Lian (27), Thang Sian Muang (25), Thang Ho Siam (18), Sut Khan Kim (27), Dai Sian Nem (27), Din Lan Cing (23), Cing Thawh Siam (20) and Awi Khawl Huai (27).
