4 films of Assam bag 5 National Film Awards

Assam shone at the 68th National Film Awards with four films of the state bagging five awards on Friday.

In the feature film category, the film 'Bridge' won the Rajat Kamal award as the Best Assamese film. The film has been directed by Kripal Kalita and produced Sabita Devi.

In the same category, actress Aimee Baruah's film 'Semkhor' won the Rajat Kamal award as it was adjudged the Best Dimasa Film. Baruah also received a Special Jury Mention for her acting in the film.

'Manah aru Manuh' (Manas and People) won the Rajat Kamal award for the Best Environment Film in the non-feature film category. The film has been directed by Dip Bhuyan and produced by the Directorate of Manas National Park and Aaranyak.

The Karbi language film 'Kachichinithu' (The Boy with a Gun) won the Rajat Kamal award as the Best Short Fiction Film in the non-feature film category. The film has been directed and produced by Khanjan Kishore Nath.
