AJP & Raijor Dal Election & Alliance Strategy: Top leaders of the AJP (Assam Jatiya Parishad) and the Raijor Dal discussed poll strategy on seat sharing, here on Monday.

The discussions took place in a cabin of GMCH (Gauhati Medical College & Hospital), where Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi is undergoing treatment. After the discussions, AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi said, "Details of the assam poll strategy will be made public at an appropriate time. The State's regional forces are united and strong. We seek co-operation from the masses. We will provide a political shield for the people of Assam."

Gogoi added, "Our alliance will contest each of the 47 constituencies where elections will be held in the first phase."

Referring to BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region), the AJP president said, "A new political strategy will be formulated for these four districts."

When asked as to whether Delhi Chief Minister and AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) leader Arvind Kejriwal would visit Assam to canvass for the alliance, Gogoi said, "Talks are on."
