Amit Shah to witness online burning of 30,000 kg drugs

The NCB started the drug disposal campaign from June 1this year. So far, 51,217 kg of drugs has been destroyed by NCB teams in 11 different states.

Guwahati: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will burn around 30,000 kg of drugs at Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai which will be witnessed online by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the occasion of a national conference on Drug Trafficking and National Security' in Chandigarh on Saturday. The quantity of drugs to be destroyed includes 6,761 kg in Guwahati, 3,077 kg in Kolkata, 1,209 kg in Chennai and 19,320 kg in Delhi.

It may be mentioned that the NCB started the drug disposal campaign from June 1this year. So far, 51,217 kg of drugs has been destroyed by NCB teams in 11 different states.
