ITANAGAR: United Kingdom's largest international food expo organized by International Food & Drink Industry (IFDI) began at ExCeL London on Monday. Three officers from Arunachal Pradesh, including horticulture director Tage Tatung and four entrepreneurs led by agriculture/horticulture secretary Bidol Tayeng, are taking part by setting up a stall.

Deputy High Commissioner of India to UK Sujit Ghosh visited the Arunachal stall on Monday and lauded the delegation for their participation in the global event despite hailing from a very remote state, Tayeng said.

The three-day event is a celebration of 1,500 innovative, global and cutting-edge food and drink manufacturers.

It is aimed at discovering emerging trends by meeting thousands of future-focused producers face-to-face at the UK's leading and largest food and drink industry event, with the theme, 'journey through the senses as you see, taste, smell and touch revolutionary products, plus broaden your network by meeting your peers and witness thought-provoking content'.

The IFDI, organized for the last 42 years, is expected to be attended by over 30,000 industry buyers and decision-makers from across the globe this time, Tayeng added.
