Assam HSLC & HS Exams Hinge on COVID Positivity Rate in State

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made it crystal clear on Thursday, and said, "Both the HSLC and HS examinations will be cancelled in the State if the COVID-19 positivity rate does not fall below two per cent on July 1, 2021." The Chief Minister further said, "If HSLC and HS examinations are held, they will be between July 15 and 20, 2021, not after that. The only condition for the cancellation of examinations is – if the COVID-19 positivity rate remains above two per cent on July 1, 2021. In that case, the results will be declared through evaluation. We can't take any risk with the life of the students."
