Assam Public Service Commission to hold afresh 'Social Works' exam

GUWAHATI: Following the goof-up in question paper related to the optional paper of 'Social Work' at a centre in the city here on Sunday, the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) on Monday cancelled the examination of this subject.

The Commission reviewed the issues raised by the candidates who appeared for the optional subject 'Social Works' in connection with the recruitment examination to 73 posts of CDPOs and allied cadres under the Social Welfare Department, stated a statement from the Principal Controller of Examinations, APSC. It added, "Accordingly, the Commission decided to cancel the examination of the said subject only held on 8.11.2020 and hold the examination for the said subject afresh. It is reiterated that the candidates who appeared for 'Social Works' on that date will only be allowed to appear.

"Further, it is informed that this decision will not affect the candidates who appeared in optional subjects other than 'Social Works'."

APSC Chairman Pallab Bhattacharyya told The Sentinel, "The revised date, time and venue will be notified later on."
