GUWAHATI: The Justice (retd.) Biplab Kumar Sharma Judicial Commission has started the collection of specimen handwritings of a few officers who got appointments after clearing the CCE-2014 (Combined Competitive Examination) under the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission).

Earlier, the State Government entrusted the Justice (retd.) Sharma Commission to inquire into the anomalies in the CCE-2013. After the inquiry, the commission submitted its report. The government again entrusted him to inquire into the anomalies in the CCE-2014 as well.

During his inquiry into the anomalies in the CCE-2014, he doubted the handwriting of a few answer booklets. To ascertain if the candidates themselves wrote the answer scripts, the Commission decided to seek the opinion of forensic experts.

To clear the doubt, the commission called an APS officer for the collection of his handwriting today. The police officer had to write a dictation as sample handwriting before sending it to forensic experts.

According to a source, the Commission doubts the handwriting of a few other answer booklets as well. It will also call those officers for the collection of their samples of handwriting.
