Dispur amends Assam Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examinations 2023 rules

The next Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) 2023 will be conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) with an amended rule related to CCE.

Guwahati: The next Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) 2023 will be conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) with an amended rule related to CCE.  Recently, the state Personnel Department issued a notification stating that the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination Rules 1989 have been amended.

The notification states that the marks for the viva voce (interview) part of the CCE will be 180 marks. Earlier, the marks for the viva voce were 275.

CCE comprises three stages: preliminary, mains, and viva voce. The total marks of the mains and viva voce were earlier 1775. Now, after the reduction in marks for viva voce, the total marks have come down to 1680. Out of 1680 marks, 1500 marks have been set for the mains (written exam).

The APSC has already advertised the conduct of the next CCE 2023 for filling up 235 posts in the ACS, APS, and allied services of the state government. Online filling of forms for candidates has already started on January 17 and will continue until 5 p.m. on February 6, 2024.

Prospective applicants are required to apply through the official APSC website, https://apscrecruitment.in, by the stipulated time.
