GUWAHATI: The Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Assam, has issued show-cause notices to hundreds of assistant contractual teachers in the primary schools by submitting 'fake TET-qualified mark sheet-cum-certificate', and asked them to reply within seven days.

Samagra Shiksha Mission Director Roshni Aparanjit Korati said in the notice that the verification report of TET (Teachers Eligibility Test), 2019 submitted by the Secretary, SEBA (Board of Secondary Education, Assam) on November 22, 2021, showed that the candidates concerned had not obtained the qualifying marks in the TET examination. "The qualifying mark is a mandatory requirement for selection and engagement as assistant teachers," Korati said in her notices.

Korati added: "…you misled and defrauded this office by submitting fake TET-qualified mark sheet-cum-certificate for the post of assistant teacher (vide advertisement dated 24.09.2020).

"…you are asked for show cause as to why you shall not be terminated or dismissed from your contractual service for defrauding, misleading the office and giving false information."

Korati also said that the reply of the 'assistant teachers' concerned should reach her office within seven days from the date of issue of the notice. She further said that if her office received no reply from the 'assistant teachers' concerned by the end of the specified period, they would decide the case ex parte.
