GUWAHATI: Since inception, the Foreigners Tribunals (FTs) in Assam have declared 1,15,698 people as foreigners. In a written reply by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who also holds the Home portfolio, to a question posed by MLA Abdul Batin Khandakar today during the ongoing Budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, it was also revealed that till January 31, 2023, a total of 4,35,275 cases had been referred to the FTs.
