GUWAHATI: In continuation to the previous notification, the Gauhati High Court has issued additional guidelines with regard to the functioning of the subordinate Court of Assam. The notification states that, all Courts shall take up limited number of cases. However, the concerned District & Sessions Judges / Presiding Officers / Chief Judicial Magistrates / SDIM (M) may hear / take up any other item which is deemed to be of utmost importance and urgency.
Further, the District & Sessions Judges / Presiding Officers / Chief Judicial Magistrates / SDJM (M) shall ensure minimum presence of Court staff in each Court without causing inconvenience/disruption in the Court proceeding as far as practicable.
Entry of outsiders other than those mentioned in Clause 6 of Notification No. 03 dated 06-0L-2022 shall be strictly prohibited in the Court premises unless specifically directed by the concerned authority or unless personal appearance of a party is required in a judicial proceeding.
All Court rooms must be thoroughly sanitized after Court hours on a day-to-day basis.
