In order to boost rural connectivity and self-employment, subsidy up to 25 per cent is being extended to the rural youths or registered SHGs (Self Help Groups) to procure light passenger vehicles under the 'Mukhyamantrir Gramya Paribahan Achoni' (MGPA).

The maximum subsidy will not exceed Rs 1 lakh.

For details like the eligibility criteria, modalities of execution, application forms etc., one can visit transport.assam.gov.in. The last date of receiving application forms in the respective DTOs (District Transport Offices) is November 15, 2020.
