BOKO: Activists of All Rabha Students’ Union, All Rabha Women Council, Sixth Schedule Demand Committee and other organizations took out a mass protest rally demanding justice for SI Junmoni Rabha at Boko in Kamrup district on Friday and at Dudhnai in Goalpara district on Saturday. Hundreds of the members along with ARSU secretary Pradip Rabha, Kamrup District ARSU secretary Ashok Nongbah, organizing secretary Ankur K Rabha, vice president Namal Kumar Rabha, Kamburam Rabha, vice chairman of Kamrup Zila Parishad, Arjun Chetry, General Member of RHAC, Lalita Rabha, president of Kamrup District ARWC, Bidya Rabha, President of Kamrup District SSDC and many other leaders of the organizations took part.
ARSU and other Rabha organizations have submitted a memorandum to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma through the Boko Revenue Circle Officer. In the memorandum ARSU, ARWC and SSDC demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits and to provide a one-time assistance of Rs. 1 crore to the family of Junmoni Rabha and provide employment to the family.
