Model Code of Conduct (MCC) Violations: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched the 'cVIGIL' app which is applicable in all the poll-bound States including Assam, where the three-phase election process is slated from March 27, 2021.
This app empowers a citizen to report to the ECI all violations of MCC (Model Code of Conduct) like bribery, free gifts, distribution of liquor among others to the electorates.
Using this simple mobile application, anyone can capture live photos or videos of MCC violations and upload them within five minutes. The ECI takes action within 100 minutes.
The app can be downloaded from cVIGIL.eci.gov.in or from Google Playstore. For details, one can visit election districts or www.eci.gov.in.
