Developed by the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), Know Your Mobile (KYM) is an app that verifies any mobile device by its IMEI (a 15-digit International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. KYM provides the status (invalid/ black listed) mobiles or blacklisted) of mobile devices or provides details like the manufacturer, brand name, and model name of the given IMEI. While purchasing a mobile device, the genuineness of the device can be verified using the KYM App.
