The State Government had cancelled this year's HSLC/AHM examinations due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The government constituted a high-power committee of experts to work out an alternative evaluation formula. The number of successful candidates among males is 1,84,411 against 2,12,721 females.

The SEBA did not publish the list of rank holders this time due to the change in the evaluation system and the non-holding of physical examinations. In the HSLC exam, 10,348 have earned 'distinction' marks (510 and above) and 20,092 candidates secured 'star' marks (450-509).

While the Biswanath district topped the list with the highest pass percentage (99.40%), the pass percentage is 98.91 in Baksa and 98.09 in Dibrugarh districts.

This year's overall pass percentage (93.10%) is the record-breaking one in the history of the HSLC exam in the State. The State recorded a pass percentage of 64.80% and 60.23% in 2020 and 2019 respectively when the physical examinations were held.

In the AHM examinations, 11,438 out of 12,275 candidates came out successful. The overall pass percentage is 93.18%.
