Stricter penalties imposed for child trafficking in Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

The new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has imposed stricter penalties for child trafficking. According to Section 99 of the BNS, an increased punishment of a minimum 7 years and up to 14 years for buying a child for prostitution is envisaged.
