Guwahati: The Xatradhikars present at the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya were left spellbound by the spectacular ceremony today. The Xatradhikars said it was so entrancing that they felt as if they had witnessed the rebirth of Lord Rama.

A total of 19 Xatradhikars, including the office-bearers of Asom Sattra Mahasabha, went to Ayodhya to participate in the consecration ceremony at the Ram Mandir.

Talking to The Sentinel, Xatradhikar of Kalshila Satra in Morigaon district and the Secretary General of the Asom Sattra Mahasabha, Kusum Kumar Mahanta, said, "The feelings that we experienced during today's Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya cannot be expressed in words; it was so overwhelming to behold. It is as if the Sanatan Dharma has acquired a new dimension in 500 years. After the main programme was over, we got a closer look at the deity of Ram Lalla. We felt as if it was a rebirth of Lord Rama."

He further said, "We also saw that the central and UP governments had taken up numerous projects for the development of Ayodhya. After witnessing this, we want to appeal to the state government to develop the prominent Xatras of Assam and their surrounding areas. Assam's Barpeta Satra, Patbaushi Satra near Barpeta Town, Madhupur Satra of West Bengal, and others require lots of attention and development, we feel. A tourism circuit should be created with the most renowned and prominent of the Xatras in the state."
