Driving license for 2-wheeler without gear, Driving license for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV), Driving license issued for transport vehicles
1. 18 years old and above can apply for license, 2. 21 years of age for driving a transport vehicle, 3. 16 years old to drive a vehicle with engine capacity not exceeding 50CC, 4. Applicants should be aware of all the traffic rules and regulations, 5. Before the applicant applies for a permanent DL, he/she should have a temporary driving license for at least 30 days but not more than 180 days.

Step 1: Get the application form from the nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO)/ download it from the official website and submit the printed copy to the RTO.
Step 2: Fill in the following details - Full Name, Residential Address, Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, etc. and provide the RTO with the address and age proofs and passport-size photos.
Step 3: After the fee payment, get an appointment for the first round of the test. Only after passing the test, a driver's license will be issued.
Step 1: Visit www.transport.assam.gov.in and select the ‘Driving license’ option, download and print the application form.
Step 2: Submit the filled form and all the above-mentioned documents to the RTO. After the fee payment through the parivahan.gov.in website, secure a slot for the driving test, and only on passing the test, the applicant will receive their license within 2 - 3 weeks.
