EASY STEPS TO APPLY FOR PASSPORT

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Has to be an Indian citizen of age 18 and above.

Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving License, Photo Passbook of running Bank Account, Voter ID, Passport-sized photograph (4.5 X 3.5 cm) with a white background, etc.

APPLY VIA E-FORM/ONLINE SUBMISSION:

Step 1: Users need to register and login to the Passport Seva Portal.

Step 2: After the registration, fill in the required details in the form and submit (for online submission)/ download the e-Form and fill it, click the Validate & Save button. An XML file that will be generated required later for uploading.

Step 3: Upload the XML file through the Upload e-Form. Do not upload the PDF form and after uploading the form, click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link to schedule an appointment at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).

Step 4: Search for PSK location and select your PSK. After booking the appointment at the selected PSK, make an online payment.

Step 5: Applicants can take a printout of the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN) or Appointment No.

Step 6: After booking an appointment, visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) where the appointment has been booked, along with original documents.

APPLY OFFLINE IN PERSON:

Step 1: Get the form from District Passport Cell (DPC) for Rs.10/- and submit the filled application form and self-attested photocopies of the supporting documents at DPC counter.

APPLY OFFLINE IN PERSON:

Step 2: Official at the DPC counter will verify the application form, photograph, and documents. After the completion of the verification pay the fees in the form of Demand Draft (DD).

Step 3: DD should contain the Applicant Name, Date of Birth, and Date of Submission of the application form written behind it. After fee submission, collect the Acknowledgement letter which contains a File No. used later for tracking the file status.
