For a new aadhaar card, the applicant will need to book an appointment by visiting an enrollment center or the UIDAI website, with all the necessary documents.
One can also book an online appointment at Aadhaar Seva Kendra for the registration of Aadhaar details.
Once the applicant's documents are submitted and approved, biometric data which include the fingerprint impression and iris scan are uploaded in enrollment centres, Aadhaar kiosks or banks.
The applicant should fill up the enrollment form in the enrollment center or provide the asked digital documents on the UIDAI website.
After a live photograph of the applicant, an acknowledgment slip of a 14 digit enrollment number is provided.
The enrollment number shall assist the applicant to check the status of the application from time to time.
The applicant can go to the e-aadhaar website and after entering the enrollment ID along with the other details like name, phone number, pin code, will get an OTP.
After validating the OTP on the applicant's registered mobile number, the online aadhaar card will be downloaded on the computer and printed.
Once an applicant's data passes all validations, demographic and biometric checks, it is sent to cross verify any re-duplication of data.
After Aadhaar generation, the data is shared for printing and delivering to the logistics partner (India Post) which sends the physical Aadhaar letter to the applicant.
