Devoted to Goddess Kamakhya and is located on the Nilachal Hills of Guwahati, Assam, India. It is a hub for Tantric devotees and a very prominent pilgrimage hotspot for the Hindus from Ambubachi Mela, Manasha Puja to Navaratri.
Built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha in 1694, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is in the middle of the Brahmaputra river. Besides the religious significance, the temple also has prominent archaeological importance with the rock sculptures within and around it.
Carved out of stones, the temple is devoted to the nine (Nava) supreme celestial bodies (Grahas). Situated at the top of the Navagraha Hill of Guwahati city, Assam, India, this temple is a research center of both astrology as well as astronomy.
Situated in the Latasil area of Guwahati, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakti. Built-in 1725 by the Ahom king Siva Singha, the temple does not have any idol as the ancient idol of Goddess Tara was stolen in 1044 A.D.

Built by the Ahom king Rajeshwar Singha in 1764, this Shiva Mandir located on the outskirts of the Garbhanga Reserve Forest, Guwahati, is inside the ashram which is said to have been founded by a sage called Basistha. With a waterfall within its premises, there is also a cave where the sage is said to have meditated and is one of the important attractions.
Dedicated to Lord Janardana and Lord Anatasai Vishnu and built by the Ahom king Shiva Singha in 1720, is located in North Guwahati. Stone inscriptions are carved on the walls of the temple along with some rock sculptures. During Janmashtami and Ashokasthami, the temple witnesses massive footfalls of devotees.
Regarded as one of the oldest and only in North East India and is devoted to Lord Vishwakarma, the celestial engineer. Founded by the priest Bhabakanta Sarmah at the foothills of Kamakhya hill, this temple was built by Mahabir Prasad Dhirasaria in 1965 with the first motorable route to the Kamakhya temple.
