Arunachal Governor, CM Pema Khandu extend Buddha Purnima greetings - 7 May, 2020

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday extended their greetings to the people of the state o the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The Governor expressed his hope that the occasion will continue to spread Lord Buddha's message of love, peace and communal harmony amongst the people. Khandu in his message said, Buddha Purnima is significant, especially for those following Buddhism, as the day commemorates the birth of Lord Buddha on full moon, which is also believed to be the day of death and enlightenment of Lord Buddha, all of which is said to take have taken place on the same day.
