Early Life:

Anjan Upadhaya is a resident of SingariBangali in Sonitpur district of Assam. He is Assam Jatiya Parishad politician from Assam. His age is about 58 years. He is the son of Late Khem Lal Upadhaya. He is married to Ranu Devi who is an Assistant Teacher in Singri High School, Singri in Sonitpur district. The couple is blessed with a son named Ashwini Kashyap.

Education:

He completed his BA from Gauhati University in the year 1984. He then qualified PGDCA.

Career and Politics:

Anjan Upadhaya was the proprietor of the leading Nepali daily 'Hamro Prajashakti' which is published from Gangtok, Sikkim as well from Tezpur and Sonitpur.

Upadhyay joined the Assam Jatiya Parishad party in December 26, 2020 at the party's headquarters in Guwahati.

This is the first time he shall be contesting Assam Assembly Elections. He will be contesting as an AJP candidate from the Behali constituency.

Anjan Upadhyay and his wife have assets worth Rs 1.12 crore.
