Early Life

Binod Hazarika is the son of Late Lalit Hazarika and Debabala Gogoi Hazarika. His birth date is 11th November, 1977, and his place of birth is Chabua in Dibrugarh district. He got married to Anjumani Hazarika on 22nd November, 1993. He runs his own tea estate business.

He enjoys travelling to different corners of the world.

Education

He completed his Matriculation (Class X) from Dinjoy Hazarimal Higher Secondary School in 1992.

Career & Politics

Binod Hazarika is an MLA from the Chabua constituency who won the Assam Assembly election in 2016. In the upcoming Assam Assembly election, he is representing the Lahowal constituency, and he is pitted against Manoj Dhanowar of Congress party.

Social Work

He is associated with the youth clubs and local sports clubs. He takes an active part in social activities, and he is associated with different cultural associations. During the anti-CAA protests, unknown agitators burnt down his ancestral residence. There is no criminal case registered against him.
