Chakradhar Gogoi is a resident of Phatikachowa Bangali gaon (village) in Dibrugarh district of Assam. His age is about 50 years. He is the son of Monikanta Gogoi. He is married to Prohilika Sarmah.

He is B.A. from Moran College, 1993 batch.

Career and Politics:

Chakradhar Gogoi defeated former Union Minister and Congress leader Paban Singh Ghatowar of Congress in the 2016 Assam Assembly elections.

Gogoi is the sitting MLA of Moran constituency.

He has been accused of corruption, piling up wealth through corruption in panchayats. His own party workers had protested against him in Dibrugarh district. The BJP workers had vowed to leave the party if the party gave ticket to him for the upcoming election.
