Nayanmoni Choudhury is contesting the Assam Assembly election of 2021 as a SUCI (C ) candidate. This is his second time. He contested the Assam Assembly election 2016 from the Tezpur constituency, and got 855 votes.

According to the nomination filed with the Election Commission of India, his total movable assets is to the tune of Rs 2,11,680. He does not have any property. He owns a motorcycle and a pickup van.
