Early Life

Roselina Tirkey is a resident of Golaghat Town, Assam. She is the daughter of Aklius Tirkey and late Mary Grace Tirkey. She was born on 1 May, 1982. She is unmarried and a social worker.

Fought Assam Elections once in 2016. Fighting Assam Elections for the second time. Roselina Tirkey is the sitting MLA from No 94 Sarupathar Assembly constituency in the 14th Assam Assembly.

Education

She did her graduation in BCA from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Bhopal. She completed her MBA from The Indian Institute of Planning and Management in 2006.

Career & Political Life

She is a member of Indian Nation Congress. In 2016 she got elected to Assam Legislative Assembly from Sarupathar Constituency defeating Binod Gowalla of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) with by a margin of 2,927 votes. She was the Vice Chairperson of Golaghat Zila Parishad from 2007 to 2012. She also held position as Member of Morangi Zila Parishad Constituency from 2012 to 2016. She is Assistant Secretary of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), Golaghat branch. She is once again contesting election from Sarupathar constituency on a Congress ticket against Biswajit Phukan of BJP.
