Sootea is a village located under Naduar revenue circle. Formerly it was located in the district of Sonitpur but at present in the district of Biswanath, Assam. The official language of Sootea is Bengali, Bodo, Assamese and most of the people residing there speak in these languages for communication. There are around 103 villages and its covers around 158.90 km2. Towards the North of Sootea village, the beautiful Arunachal Pradesh is situated while towards the South there is the Brahmaputra river.
