Asha Begum is the wife of Rafique Ahmed. She is a resident of Pratap Sarma Road, Amolapatty in the Nagaon district. Her husband is an agriculturist.

Political career

Asha Begum is contesting in the Assam State election, 2021, for the first time from the Nowgong constituency as an Independent candidate. She was earlier with the AIUDF. She had served the party as its General Secretary. She resigned from the party this March.
