Early Life

Jitu Goswami is a resident of Amolapatty village in Nagaon district of Assam. His age is 49 years. He is the son of Late Jugal Prasad Goswami. He is married to Gitika Goswami who is working in the private sector. The couple is blessed with two sons.

Education

He has pursued BA from Nagaon college in the year 1992.

Career and Politics

Jitu Goswami first got his ticket for Assam Election 2016 from BJP to contest from the Samaguri constituency and lost the battle to Rakibul Hussain of INC Party.

This is the second time he shall be contesting the Assam Election.

Jitu Goswami will be contesting from the Nowgong constituency that goes to poll in Phase II, voting for which is scheduled to be on April 1.
