Early Life

Misbahul Islam Laskar is the son of Late Kamrul Islam Laskar He is a resident of GMC Road, Silchar. He is married to Alshahiba Shamsuddin, and they have three children. His wife is a retired associate professor.

Education

He passed his H.S.L.C. (Matric) from Government Boys H.S. School in Silchar. He completed his Higher Secondary in 1972 from Government Boys H.S. School in Silchar. He got his B.Sc degree from G.C. College, Silchar in 1978. He completed his LLB from A.K. Chanda Law College in 1985.

Political career

Misbahul Islam Laskar is a legal practitioner by profession. He is contesting the Assam Assembly election for the third time. He is contesting the 2021 elections from the Barkhola constituency as an Independent candidate. He had contested the Assam Assembly election in 1996, 2001, where he won the election as an INC candidate.

His movable assets are worth Rs 1,04,993. His total immovable assets are Rs 11 lakh.
