Suresh Borah is the son of Late Sambhuram Borah. He is 49 years old. He is a resident of Uriagaon in the Nagaon district.

He is Higher Secondary pass from the Nowgong Govt Boy's Higher Secondary School in 1990.

Political career

Suresh Borah is contesting in the Assam Assembly election, 2021, from Barhampur constituency as a Congress candidate. He lost to two-time Assam Chief Minister and AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta by 5169 votes in the Assam Assembly election, 2016.

Suresh Borah is a social worker working for the welfare of the community. He is associated to various cultural and social organization.

Controversy

There is a case registered against him under section 120B/468/420506 of IPC for cheating and forgery by delivering property. He has also been booked for alleged contravention of Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
