Adip Kumar Phukan from Gauhati East: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Adip Kumar Phukan is the son of Late Harendra Nath Phukan. He is 62 years old and is a resident of House No-10, Nirupama Bhawan, Silpukhuri, Guwahati. He is married to Sabita Devi. She is an employee of the Central Bank of India.

Educational Qualifications:

He is a B.Sc. from Pragjyotish College, Guwahati in 1979.

Career and Political Life:

He is an author and a freelance journalist now. The former editor of Assamese weekly Sadin and Executive Editor of Assamese daily Pratidin is contesting on an Assam Jatiya Parishad ticket. He has published at least 12 books on the economy and economics of Assam and the region. He is contesting the Assam Assembly elections2021 as an AJP candidate from the Gauhati East constituency.

He has assets worth Rs 86.56 lakhs
