Asraful Islam is the son of Late Basir Uddin Ahmed. He is 46 years old and is a resident of Chakla Part-I, Abhyapuri in Bongaigaon district. He is married to Moromi Begum.

Educational Qualifications:

He is M.A in Economics. from Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) in the year 2008.

Career and Political Life:

He is a cultivator and a businessman by profession. He is contesting the Assam Assembly elections 2021 as a candidate of All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) from Abhayapuri North constituency.

He has assets worth Rs 25.66 lakhs.
