He has completed Master of Science from Gauhati University in 1998 and has L.L.B degree from Gauhati University in 2006.

He is an Advocate. He is contesting the 2021 Assam Assembly Election from Palasbari constituency on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.
