Early Life:

Prabhat Kalita is a resident of Garamchung village, Baranghati in Kamrup district of Assam. He is the son of Late Dulal Kalita. Prabhat is 61 years old.

Education:

Prabhat Kalita completed his M.Sc from Gauhati University in 1984 and did his Ph.D in Botany from Gauhati University, 1994 batch.

Career and Politics

He is contesting the 2021 Assam Assembly Election from Hajo constituency as an Independent Candidate.

According to the nomination filed with the Election Commission of India, his total movable assets are worth Rs. 5 Lakh and his spouse's movable assets are worth Rs. 18 Lakh.
