Ramendra Narayan Kalita from Gauhati West: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Ramendra Narayan Kalita is the son of Late Mahendra Nath Kalita.He is 62 years old and is a resident of West Jyotinagar, Bamunimaidam,Guwahati. He is married to Ajanta Chakraborty who is a Professor by profession.

Educational Qualifications:

He has LLB degree from Gauhati University in 1986.

Career and Political Life:

Kalita is a Lawyer. He is the sitting MLA from Gauhati West. Ramendra Narayan Kalita, five-time MLA from the Gauhati West constituency as an AGP candidate is contesting the Assam Assembly election 2021 for the sixth time. He has won the 1985 election as an Independent. In 1991, 1996, 2006 and 2016 he won as an AGP candidate. He is the BJP-AGP alliance candidate this election.
