Nalbari falls under Gauhati Parliamentary Constituency. Queen Oja of the Bharatiya Janata Party was the winner of the Lok Sabha Election 2019, by securing 1008936 votes and she defeated Bobbeeta Sarma of the Indian National Congress party who got 663330 votes.

In the 2016 Nalbari Election, Ashok Sarma of BJP became the winner by securing 62. 93% of the overall vote. Pradyut Kumar Bhuyan of the INC party secured 29.26%. Maheswar Dutta of the CMP secured 1.06%. Jiten Kalita of Janata Dal (united) secured 0.15%.
