Rangia is a town and municipal board, situated in Kamrup district, Assam. It is also an Assembly Constituency. The town is about 52 km away from Dispur, Guwahati. The official language of the town is Assamese. There are many educational institutions in Rangia. Some of them are: Modern English School, Sankardev Academy Junior College, Jawaharlal Nehru Shishu Vidyalaya and Rangia College.
Rangia is one out of 126 Constituencies and bears number 57. It falls under Mangaldoi Lok Sabha Constituency.
Rangia falls under the Mangoldoi Parliamentary Constituency. Dilip Saikia of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Lok Sabha Election 2019 with 735469 votes and Bhubaneswar Kalita of the Indian National Congress party became the runner up with 596924 votes.
Rangia is located in Kamrup district. Kamrup is an administrative district in Assam, India. The area covered by the district is 4345 square km. Amingaon is the district headquarter of Kamrup. As per 2011 census, the district has total 1517542 population.
