AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam arrested for controversial comments on COVID-19

GUWAHATI: Aminul Islam, a senior AIUDF leader and Dhing MLA, has been arrested by the police for his controversial comment on the COVID-19 prevention and its quarantine procedure. As per reports, ateam of the Nagaon police reached the MLAs residence, located at Dhing, Nagaon at around 2pm on Tuesday night and picked up him with them. The MLA had commented that only the Nizammudin Darhah’ last jammat attendees could not be held responsible for the broke out of novel coronavirus pandemic in the country. He also said that a conspiracy has been created by some vested interest people.
