Biggest Recruitment Racket of ULFA(I) of Recent Times Busted in Tinsukia District

Tinsukia: Continuing with the breaking spree on ULFA(I) nefarious design of misguiding and recruiting youths in Upper Assam a joint team of Indian Army and Assam Police busted the biggest recruitment racket of the recent times by apprehending four hardcore ULFA(I) cadres and four minor recruit cadres from different places of Tinsukia district in a marathon Operation continued for 2days and 2 nights conducted from 24 Feb 20.

Many warlike stores and objectionable materials like ULFA(I) flags, as well as Jungle shoes, were recovered.

Promptly acting on the reliable input received from a source a joint operation was launched at various places of Tinsukia districts which have resulted in apprehension of two hardcore cadres Diganta Gogoi alias Diganta Asom, Khogen Moran who have been stealthily carrying out nefarious activities of ULFA(I) including recruitment in their respective areas staying among the masses only.

Further follow up lead to the apprehension of four Cadre recruits(name not disclosed being minors) all of whom are below 15 years and also two more hardcore cadres Rana Handique alias Kokai, Abhijit Gogoi from various places like Makum, Digboi and Kakopothar.

Two 7.65 mm Pistols, One .22 mm Pistol with a number of live bullets, Three ULFA(I) flags and one pair of Jungle Shoes were recovered from the apprehended cadres.

The successful operation could save as many as four minor boys from taking the path of violence and also could take the covert ULFA(I) cadres to task who were eating up the society from within like pests. It is noteworthy that this has been part of the Series of successful operations by Security forces to save the youths from getting misguided and eliminating the ULFA(I) cadres who want to spoil the society.
